Cleveland Grant--Grant got his start with the Hondo Bears in 1942 and the Ligon All-Stars in 1945 before Buck O'Neil of the Kansas City Monarchs signed him in 1948. He played for the Monarchs and Satchel Paige's All-Stars until 1949. He received a tryout at the St. Louis Browns camp in 1953. He returned to the South Texas Negro League where he played for the San Antonio Black Sox.
